The shelter is run by two managers and a group of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers work according to a schedule to make sure that all shifts are adequately covered.
4. How do the animals end up in the shelter?
Roughly 90% of the animals in the shelter come from the government-run Dog Control Center (Centro di Control di Cacho), which is situated next to the shelter. The rest of the animals come from owners who for whatever reason can no longer take care of their pet.

No. The animal shelter is a foundation and totally independent from the government-run Dog Control Center.
